
4LifeLAB took part in the 3rd edition of the Drone Meeting, an event promoted by the Madeira Operational Command, which brought together experts and organizations to discuss the use of drones in various contexts, including emergency situations.
Rui Cerqueira, head of the Advanced Air Mobility project, presented the project to transport blood and organs between hospitals using drones. The lecture also featured interventions from Victor Prior, the Madeira delegate of the Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere, Major General Rui Tendeiro, Operational Commander for Madeira, Gabriela Viana, from CEiiA, and representatives from Serviço Regional de Proteção Civil. The lectures were followed by a flight demonstration.
The Drone Meeting is part of a strategy to develop skills and experience in drone operation, in which regional and national entities collaborate, linking the scientific, industrial, academic and business areas.
