4LifeLAB conducted the first test flight with an unmanned aircraft (drone) at Hospital São João, as part of the Advanced Air Mobility project, conducted in partnership with the Unidade Local de Saúde São João, CEiiA, and Eliot.
This flight represents an important milestone in the project, which plans to build the country’s first hospital vertiport. For Francisco Serdoura, CEO of 4LifeLAB, “this was a decisive step towards a new paradigm in healthcare. We are putting technological innovation at the service of those who need it, in medical emergency contexts, where time is of the essence.”
The Advanced Air Mobility project aims to develop solutions that enable the rapid and safe transport of medicines, biological samples, antidotes, blood components and derivatives, as well as the transport and delivery of advanced life support equipment.
Integrated into the Health From Portugal agenda and co-financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, this project is an important step towards transforming emergency response through technological innovation.
