Impact of the use of a surgical robot in spinal surgery

Comparison of outcomes of robot-assisted spine surgeries (Mazor robot, by Medtronic) and conventional surgeries, with stratification according to surgeon experience.

The study evaluates the impact of the use of the robot on surgical outcomes and on key clinical and operational indicators. It also includes the analysis of the impact of robotic assistance on surgeons with different levels of experience (senior and junior).

Developed in collaboration with Medtronic Portugal and implemented in the Orthopaedics Department of ULS São João.
